Mr. Uday Chitale, a Chartered Accountant with professional standing of over 50 years, has been senior partner at M/s M. P. Chitale & Co. His professional work spanned varied businesses as auditor and business advisor and has assisted clients in negotiating M&A / JV transactions, foreign collaborations and business valuations. He is mentor and business advisor to some highly successful MSME enterprises.
Mr. Chitale is also active in the field of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) - arbitration and mediation of commercial disputes. He is the founder of Indian Council for Dispute Resolution and has done pioneering work in promoting ADR and creating awareness of mediation and conciliation amongst industrial and business community. An Accredited Mediator of CEDR-UK, Mr. Chitale is on the panel of ADR practitioners of leading arbitral institutions.
Mr. Chitale served as a non-executive Independent Director at some of the largest Indian conglomerates that include ICICI Group entities, JSW Group and GMR Group.
Mr. Chitale has served on expert committees set up by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA), Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) and several industry associations and chambers of commerce and is a member of the Board of Governors of National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), the institution promoted by SEBI for capacity building of market intermediaries and conducting professional post graduate programmes.
